In this course, you will keep a culture log, in which you will document cultural artifacts and reflect on how culture and identity are represented through art. In this first entry into you culture log, you will explore artifacts of art in many forms, and across multiple cultures, to determine how they are rooted in the very foundations of our societies and represent the development of our basic human expression. You will select two historical artifacts, two professional artifacts, and two personal artifacts, and describe their importance to contemporary society and your life.
